How to change default layout template of Oracle Reports (Concurrent Program) in Oracle APPS r12

Purpose: This post will help you to change or set the default template in Oracle reports. In many cases we have multiple xml data templates for single report, so in this case we need to change or set the default template as per the need.

Steps:

·         Navigate to System Administration -> Concurrent ->Programs.

·         Enter the concurrent program name and click on “Go” button.

·         The program details will populate in the block below. Click on “Update” icon.

·         Click on “Onsite Settings” tab and select the template in the template field, which you want to be defaulted when running this report. Click on “Apply” button.

·         Now run the report from the SRS window. As you select the concurrent program the layout template will set the default value.

·         In case you want to change the template for this run, click on “Options” button.

·         Select the template of your choice and submit the report.
